FACE: Long and angular overall. Has a blunt square-ish chin. Large aquiline nose with flat nostrils. Thick eyebrows. Eyes are downturned, with mild eyebags. Color is a dark brown. Has a goatee. Usually also dons large, bulky earrings in the shape of knight chess pieces — the one on the left ear is black and the one on the right is white.
HAIR: Very curly, roughly a 3c texture. Dyed teal downwards, with the roots heavily grown out. Natural color is a dark, near-black brown. Slightly overgrown bangs. The rest of her hair stretches to her waist. She usually ties her hair back with a pink bandana.
BODY: 6ft tall. Of average weight, though is lankier in the arms and legs. She occasionally binds her breasts. She has fairly thick body hair, also.
She has postaxial polydactyly on her right hand — the extra finger stems from her little finger, and has minimal flexibility.
MAIN OUTFIT: The centerpiece is a black labcoat copiously decorated in board game theme-ing. It has a tightened high collar, puffy sleeves and a checkered row of blue buttons… she usually leaves the bottom few loose. Leftwise is a pocket decorated with an incomplete tic-tac-toe game. Contrastly, the right side of the coat bears the silhouettes of various chess pieces, rendered in blue. She wears a belt with a similar array of icons. Beneath the midway mark is a complex division of various 'boards' — the left tongue of the coat is wholly dedicated to depicting a checkers game, whilst the right maintains the chessboard motif in a darkened tone. Beneath it is a backgammon tray. The back of the coat is usually obscured by her hair, but features a 10x10 picross puzzle that presents a heart shape.
Underneath this, Ulises wears a short-skirted dress — once again it is usually obscured, but the chest of it depicts a sudoku game and the sleeves are decorated with snakes and ladders. Beneath THIS, she wears loose checkered blue pants, which are tucked into shapely heels. These are 'segmented' in two at the foot, much like the shell of a beetle, and have pawns composing a high heel.
She often wears offblue lab gloves, specifically altered to have room for her extra finger. More infrequently, whilst on the job, she’ll wear large square-shaped lab goggles that feature outward grids — the left eye bears a colorful set of squares and resembles a rubik’s cube, whilst the right is monochrome and chesslike.

GENERAL FASHION STYLE: Can more or less be summed up as formal casual. She likes looking fancy but not to a constrictive extent, often avoiding the classic veneer of a tight suit. She frequently wears both skirts and pants simultaneously, and likes carrying around loose jackets or coats. Big heeled boots are a staple of her clothing style, though she may also dabble in plain sneakers or dress shoes in simpler outfits.
A frequent compositional element of her outfits involves shapeliness… She usually likes having outfits that contrast in 'tightness', whether that means bulking up into a square by way of a thick jacket and contrasting it with jeans, or wearing a sleek dress with an exaggerated fan-out of the skirt. She’s naturally also fond of clutter and heavy patterning, with many of her clothes featuring multiple overlays of shapes that honestly seem like they shouldn’t even match. These are usually simple geometric tessellations, with checkers naturally being the most frequent pattern that shows up. There’s also a general fondness for wearing a wide swath of colors all at once, though she does mostly utilise her signature pinks and teals.
She’s inconsistent about wearing makeup, usually saving it for special occasions, and often limiting it to decorative and colorful eyeshadow. She also frequently paints her nails, mostly for her own enjoyment considering her usual wear of gloves… Chess pieces are her favorite things to illustrate and she usually likes messing with the colors she uses.
Overall her fashion style is seen as decently chic due to her aforementioned compliance to the "formal" trends of the 2100s, but her insistence on copious patterning and busy color palettes does mark her as a bit gaudy… It’s an intentional choice to come across like this, she thinks it makes her seem interesting :+)

POSTURE AND MOVEMENT: "Restless" is the major word I’d use to describe her… Even when she’s standing she tends to waver back and forth, tap her feet, mess with her hands… She only gets more rapid in her motions whenever she’s sitting down! A lot of the time when she’s working on things she prefers to stand upright so that she can pace around and feel more 'involved' in the world around her. She’s usually very flippant with gestures, both in terms of frequency and scope — she’s accidentally hit people in the face in the midst of explaining things quite a few times, due to her habit of just throwing her hands around and joltingly pointing at things. Her velocity continues beyond her body, also — if something’s in her hands and it’s not exceedingly fragile, she’ll probably toss it around and spin it between her fingers to occupy herself. She’s quite skilled at pen and coin tricks, heh.
The aforementioned habit of solving puzzles in the midst of work is kind of another expression of this restlessness, and is more or less her attempt at giving herself something engaging that is still 'refined' enough to keep her focused while she’s sitting at a desk and trying to get work done and whatnot.
She’s quite expressive in the face, though the emotions she’s displaying may be a bit obtuse to people who don’t know her… She’s prone to very mild smiles and frowns, subtle falls of the eyelids, tilts of the head, all kinds of tiny indicators of emotional shift… There’s actually a very conscious level of restraint she deploys when talking to people she’s unfamiliar with, and it’s very much an extension of her fixed desire to seem approachable and prepared at all times. A good example: she doesn’t want people to misanalyse her instinctual expressions in the midst of a medical examination to avoid stressing them out prematurely — and so she dilutes her expressiveness to prevent any kind of interpretation at all.
She also has a frequent habit of snapping her fingers in the midst of talking, mostly to ground herself and organise her thoughts. Some people get taken extremely off-guard by this sound (such as Faris) and so in their presence, she’ll substitute this for a dull golf-style clap.

VOICE: Notably very nasally. Mid-high in pitch, kind of having the thing of having a layered voice consisting of a sharp, raised tone and then a deeper, smoother stratum underneath. Has a bit of a stutter, which is mostly prominent at the beginning of sentences and usually dissolves the longer she talks and the more comfortable she is — harsh spit-y consonants like t’s and d’s are her main adversaries. Another is the melding of ch digraphs into a more solid s sound.
She makes heavy use of non-verbal noises, often utilising tongue or dental clicks, whistles, scoffs and sighs as punctuation before changing focus in a sentence or trying to coalesce her thoughts together. Similarly, she’s prone to sudden involuntary gasps and breathiness when talking to others, something she herself doesn’t notice.
Her general pronounciation is influenced by Spanish and to a lesser extent, Nahuatl and AAVE. The former is especially noticeable in her intonation, with her frequently 'raising' the stress on words… She sounds quite musical when compared against an Average English tone.
The pace of her speech actually varies quite a bit — casually, she tends to lean towards talking EXTREMELY fast, almost as if she’s verbalising her thoughts the very second they land in her brain so that she doesn’t forget them. Her tone kind of stagnates here, her speed sinking her down into pseudo-monotony. Sensitive to the flow of her voice remaining 'coherent', she freely interrupts and restarts her own sentences, often utilising those aforementioned 'clicks' to mark a verbal reboot. In situations regarding higher formality, she slows down heavily, which actually reveals a very soft 'wavering' inflection in her voice. Whenever she has the opportunity to monologue and dig deep into a topic, she’ll actually mess around with her emphasis, often pausing steeply in the middle of a sentence or extending words in a songlike manner to grant them higher importance. She’s quite good at setting up 'tension' in a sentence, and thus also delivering a satisfying followup… To put it bluntly, she’s got a good tone for storytelling!
