First Design Draft — February 15 2022.
Honestly the grand silhouette of his design didn't change much, moreso just the way I drew him… He used to look way younger. And I'd hardly figured out the claw back then.
I remember I had the concept for his design for like a week or so before drawing this out. He was initially supposed to be Lakota and named Twyla but the supposed evidence for the name being native was very spotty and I retired the idea. I then realised I didn't have any characters from Oceania yet, thus leading me to his current incarnation.

Genuinely amazed at how little I drew him back then I've skipped so many months or only drew the barest minimum of him! Once again closer to normalcy. I think I grew certain of wanting to draw him with cherubism around here.

SUCH A DROUGHT OF BEATRIX IMAGES IT'S BAFFLING ME!!!! I joked about it for ages but yeah I didn't draw a proper reference sheet for him until like a year and a half into working on CCS, which is very stark considering every other character got that at the very least. God. Anyway. Here's a Korn joke.


"Black Serotonin" — December 16 2022.
Named after the Hail the Sun song, and also where I dragged the lyrics out from. I remember it was around this time that I started thinking about him more and leaning into his whole "political figurehead mayor-esque overseer" shtick.

Jokes aside, I know I'm using these icons for the characters as of writing this (30/3/2024) but this icon bothers me a lot because his jaw looks too soft… Ah well. These things I can always change.
